Where do children go if they still need Special Education services upon aging out of the Toddler Groups?
The Toddler Group is a great introduction to the pre-school setting where classes are larger and consist of many more 3 & 4 year olds. For those children who qualify and would benefit from continued Special Ed. programming within a pre-school setting, regular classrooms where Related Services are welcome is one possibility. Where there might be the need of a higher frequency of services, an Integrated Classroom may be appropriate for some children who age of out the Early Intervention system.

New Toddler Group

We are pleased to announce the beginning of a NEW two hour toddler group that will run Monday through Thursday. This group will be run by two professionals and consist of no more than 6 children at any given time. The group will provide a behaviorally based program that focuses on the development of language skills in the natural environment for children with special needs. Through the use of individualized teaching goals starting with each child's motivation as the foundation, the group will build basic skills that include: requesting, imitation, attending, play, and socialization in a small group setting.
